Hooked! Graphic Novel & Character Design

I'm currently in the process of writing a graphic novel called "Hooked!". It's about a fisherman with a dream who must decide if he wants to follow the sea or his heart. Here are some of the concepts I've been exploring: I have thought about the characters, the relationships between those characters, where the story takes place, and I even drafted a timeline of main events.

These illustrations were all created from black silhouettes. The silhouettes were refined and “sculpted” to be recognizable from afar. Then, the colour and details were added.

These three expressions represent the protagonist's moods throughout most of the story. Elias is reserved, a bit hesitant to step up, and slightly apathetic to things happening around him.

The sidekick, Jesus, (real name is Jesús) is represented through these emotions. He's funny, relaxed, and inspiring if he wants to be.

This timeline with the basic structure of the graphic novel serves as a draft for me to base future story ideas around. It keeps me on track so I don't make any changes or add events that might generate inconsistencies in the story.
